Get Involved
ORHS needs volunteers with any skills from office work to hosting to structure and rolling stock maintenance and restoration. So we're sure you can fit in with our organization. For more information on how to volunteer with ORHS, please see our Volunteer page.
ORHS holds monthly meetings on the last Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM at the Orrville Union Depot, 145 Depot Street south of West Market Street. The meetings are open to anyone interested in learning about ORHS.
Orrville Union Depot was built in 1868 at the junction of the Pittsburgh, Fort Wayne & Chicago and the Cleveland, Akron & Columbus railroads.
The 1899 Orrville Tower controlled the crossing, sidings and access to the yard of the PFW&C and CA&C railroads.
This block station cabin was once used to control the switches and signals at "Shale" near Summitville, Ohio.
Our fleet consists of an EMD GP7 locomotive, passenger cars, Fairmont A4 motor car and other vintage equipment.
